Using the Virtual Zone for Your Business In-Person
Get acquainted with various amenities in our Virtual Zone, located on Youth Library on the 1st floor. We will be showcasing our Soundbooth & iMac computers.
The Virtual Zone is collaborative and innovative community space in which teens can create, invent, socialize, and work with librarians and other mentors through state-of-the-art software and equipment. The Virtual Zone facilitates authentic learning experiences, while promoting 21st century skills and multiple literacies.
The Soundbooth, equipped with various hardwares such as Apple iMac, Rode NT1-A Cardioid Condenser Microphone, Sennheiser HD 280 PRO Headphones, Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 Audio Interface, and Digital Audio Workstations such as GarageBand and Avid Pro Tools, allows teens to follow their creative aspirations, whether that is with creating music, podcasts, voiceovers, or reciting poetry. A PreSonus StudioLive 24.4.2 music mixer is also availible for high-definition mixing.
A second Apple iMac, equipped with iMovie and Avid Media Composer First, allows teens to create professional‑looking videos for YouTube, social media, music videos, commercials, school projects, and much more. This iMac is also equipped with a Wacom drawing tablet with interactive pen display which allows you to sketch, draw, and edit images.
Due to increased studio usage, schedule is as follows:
